Frequently Asked Questions

Building a new kitchen or taking on a renovation project can lead to many questions. At Custom Cabinets, we’re always here to help.

What does your warranty cover?

We are confident in the products we use, and the services we provide. Our warranty protects against defects in materials and the workmanship for a period of seven years under average residential usage.

This warranty is valid only if the cabinets are installed by Custom Cabinets and Supplies Ltd. and if the guidelines for care and usage have been adhered to. This warranty does not cover tarnishing of handles, yellowing of product as a result of direct sunlight, countertops, or repairs done because of movement or settling of the property.

We require that there be someone available the day of installation to inspect for our products for damage. If we are not notified by you on the day of installation, we will assume there are no defects.

How long does it take to build my custom cabinets?

After you approve the final design, you can expect your cabinets to be ready for installation within four to five weeks.

How fast can my cabinets be installed?

Once we begin installation, cabinets are typically completed within one to two days.

Why is it necessary to measure appliances before designing my kitchen?

Appliances come in many shapes and sizes. To ensure that your cabinets fit perfectly into your space, we require measurements before we begin designing. This eliminates any large or small gaps between the cabinets and the appliances once everything is in place.

How do I keep my cabinets looking like new?

To ensure that your Custom Cabinets last a lifetime, we advise against:

  • Attaching fixture inside or outside of your cabinet doors exceeding 3 lbs.
  • Altering finished cabinet in any way (example: sanding, varnishing, painting).
  • Placing wet dishes or clothes in your cabinets or over countertop joins.
  • Using harsh abrasive cleaners when caring for your cabinets.
  • Exposing your cabinets to extreme temperatures (kettles, toasters, ranges, etc).
  • Over filling drawers.
  • Placing unnecessary pressure on your cabinet doors by excessive tugging or pulling open.

To clean cabinet surfaces, we recommend using a mild soap or detergent and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soapy film with a second damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

Do you install cabinet doors?

Updating cabinet doors is a great way to add value to your kitchen without completely renovating your space. Our team of expert designers can help you choose a door style that will complement your home and give your kitchen fresh, new look. We can order and supply your cabinet doors, but we do not offer installation.

Do you install countertops?

Our experienced team will guide you through the design process, help you select the right countertops for your style and budget, and even complete the installation.
